Armenopedia Platform

Overview

Armenopedia is designed to bridge information gaps within the Armenian world through 13 comprehensive and dynamic directories. Each directory provides concise, reliable data that is fully searchable and filterable by location, field, scale, and expertise. The platform will feature two intuitive navigation bars—one organized geographically and the other thematically—enabling users to easily explore information by region or topic.

Top Navigation Bar – Organized by Geographic Regions
Secondary Navigation Bar – Dedicated to Thematic Categories, representing the core sectors of the mapping project as well as key community services. Each category functions as an independent, high-impact project.

Mapping Project

  1. Diaspora – Presentation of communities across the Diaspora, featuring content from Little ArmeniasOrer, and other sources.
  2. People – Biographies of notable community members, such as  Vahan Zanoyan and Noubar Afeyan
  3. Organizations – NGOs, associations, cultural groups.
  4. Education – Schools and Universities – identification and presentations to spotlight outstanding schools and institutions in documentary-style videos (e.g. Avedisian School watch here).
  5. Armenian Students Network – a global network connecting the Armenian students and educators.
  6. Religion – Presenting churches and religious institutions.
  7. Hospitality –Restaurants, accommodation and travel services, presented through a map based app.
  8. Services & Commerce – Armenian or related shops, services, businesses.
  9. Industry – Manufacturing, Professional supply, agrobusiness, logistics

Community services

  1. The Armenian Channel – A global network of social media platforms focused on elevating human and civic values (see dubbed example here).
  2. VoxArm  Armenian Press Review – a dynamic media hub that centralizes, curates, and amplifies the voices, perspectives, and realities of Armenian media outlets worldwide.
  3. Narek, the Armenian Literary Hub – a global, searchable platform for Armenian and Armenian-related media, including books (print, digital, and audio), music and films.
  4. Armarket – A marketplace featuring Armenian-related offerings and requests, inspired by platforms like Le Bon Coin and Armenian BD.
  5. Forum – A forum space for debate and petition platform, similar to Reddit.com or  Change.org.
  6. Events – Connected to the Armenopole events section.

Objectives

  1. Empower Armenians with access to verified and centralized information.
  2. Promote visibility for individuals, professionals, and community actors in underrepresented regions.
  3. Foster cultural, educational, and economic exchange across global Armenian communities.
