The foreign ministers of Armenia and Greece met on December 1 on the sidelines of the 29th OSCE Ministerial Forum in Łódź, Poland, and discussed relations between their two countries and regional security matters.
According to his office, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan explained Yerevan’s position regarding the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the situation surrounding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.
Mirzoyan emphasised that the belligerent rhetoric of the Azerbaijani side and the recent border provocations threaten regional security.
The two ministers also discussed Armenia-Turkey normalisation talks.
The Ministerial Council is the central decision-making and governing body of the OSCE. The annual meeting is an opportunity for the Foreign Ministers to review and assess the security situation in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian area, as well as the organisation’s work in all its fields of activity.
