Meghri, located in the south of Armenia, is a stunning city with a population of approximately 4,500 residents. It is located a stone’s throw away from the Iranian border and is surrounded by several charming villages, including Lichk, Karchevan, Shvanidzor, and Agarak.
In the near future, flights from Yerevan to Kapan will open, reducing travel time significantly for those wanting to visit Meghri.
Unlike other places in Armenia, Meghri’s weather is unique. The summers are hot and dry, while the spring season offers perfect temperatures for enjoying the beautiful wildflowers and collecting herbs for tea in the mountains.
During the harvest season in fall (late September until November), visitors can indulge in an abundance of delicious fruits while enjoying milder temperatures.
