Another 50 highly qualified Diaspora Armenian professionals from 20 countries are joining the Armenian Government through the iGorts program.
The iGorts program started in 2020 and falls under the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs. The goal of the program is to have Diaspora Armenian professionals serve in the Armenian Government, as to further strengthen the connection with the motherland.
In the 2 years of the program, there have been 102 participants. The participants receive a round-trip air ticket, a monthly stipend of 336,000 AMD ($680) to cover living expenses for 1 year, emergency medical insurance and a 1-year residency permit, which are all provided by the Republic of Armenia.
