Syunik plays a historically important geopolitical role in ensuring and guaranteeing the national security of Armenia and the Armenian people. After the 2020 Artsakh War, Azerbaijan continues to threaten and make territorial claims on Yerevan, Sevan and especially Syunik.Considering combatting pan-Turkic ideology the responsibility of the Armenian youth and in order to strengthen the resilient spirit of the people of Syunik, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Youth Office has collaborated with the Nikol Aghbalyan Student Association to launch a competition for research papers dedicated to Syunik’s geopolitical importance, security, demographic and youth-related issues.The ARF Youth Office is urging 18 to 27 year old students to participate in the preparation of these papers. The deadline is the 15th of October 2021, and the students whose proposals are accepted will receive a scholarship – and a return ticket home if they live outside of Armenia.The research paper should focus on certain topics, although new topics may be proposed.
