EAEU Member States to Develop a Common Credit System

Ruslan Beketaev, Minister of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Union, informed reporters that the member states of the EAEU have signed an agreement on the exchange of credit history data. According to the agreement, the EAEU member states’ central banks will soon approve technical standards for interchanging data stored in national credit history bureaus, keeping these data in a secure environment. As a result, citizens of any member state can ask for a loan from banks in other countries. These banks, in turn, will be able to verify the credit histories of the customers and make definitive judgments.
