On December 9, the European Union and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) signed a contribution agreement, according to which the EU will invest 4 million Euros in a New Technical Assistance Project in Armenia. “We are happy to support sustainable economic development in Armenia to the benefit of all Armenian citizens,” mentioned Frank Hess, Head of Cooperation at EU Delegation to Armenia. The project aims to improve trade competitiveness, meaningful utilization of benefits of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Armenia and the EU, and the enhancement for governance systems to augment Armenia’s participation in international and regional metrology communities and its partnership with the European Association of Metrology Institutes (EURAMET).
