A public meeting entitled “The Diaspora today and tomorrow: its place and role in Armenia” took place in Paris on December 3, 2022, organised by the French Armenian Council.
Diaspora High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan and DIaspora organisations from France; Conseil Français-Arméniens (Eric Dadian, Levon Sakounts, Daniel Kurkdjian), DiasporArm (Hovel Chenorhokian) and Belgium (Nicolas Tavitian) were among the main speakers. Their interventions were followed by questions and answers from the participants to all speakers.
The main topics of discussion and exchange were on Diaspora relations improvement between itself and Armenia; targeted topics were unity and challenging period, which revealed as well different questions of engagement from different aspects within the Diaspora and its dialogue with Armenia: more unity, schools and education, institutional relations at different levels etc.
