On 17 December, the State Minister of Artsakh, Ruben Vardanyan, spoke to CivilNet about the recent blockade of the only route between Armenia and Artsakh, and how this is causing a humanitarian crisis for the Armenians of Artsakh. Mr Vardanyan also discusses what Armenians around the world can do to assist the people of Artsakh.
“A country that has never had any ecological protest in any other place is ridiculous in acting like this. Now the world can see what Azerbaijan is, and how they behave. I am just back from my visit to Martakert, and I am really surprised about the energy, strength and courage of Armenians of Artsakh. The blockade units us even more.
I want to make a very clear statement to whole Armenian all over the world. Artsakh is a motherland for all Armenians, not only for Artsakhtsis. Being indifferent is destroying you, not us. It’s time to wake up. You can raise your word creating a big wave and pressure for humanitarian support”, said the State Minister.
