Construction of the Ajapnyank Metro Station about to start

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan announced that the Construction of the Ajapnyak metro station is about to start as a winner has been named in the tender announced for its construction.

PM Pashinyan considers the station a strategic project because the metro will cross the opposite bank of River Hrazdan, creating opportunities for further expansion to Davtashen, Malatia-Sebastia, 15th district, etc.

Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan noted the project will be implemented in 510 days, or maybe earlier. According to him, the total cost of the construction of the station is estimated at $50 million. The Mayor said that the Armenian National Interest Fund (ANIF) had looked into the possibility of reducing the government’s share of financing through private investment projects.
