The Armenian Educational Foundation awarded $1 million in scholarships to over 1,000 students. Most scholarships were awarded to students attending public universities in Armenia, including 185 Artsakh war veterans and students from Javakhk attending universities in Tbilisi. Additionally, AEF provided scholarship recipients with laptops to help with their studies. AEF’s Yerevan office received over 1,700 qualified scholarship applications.
Scholarship recipients were selected based on a mathematical model, which ranks students based on various criteria, such as their socioeconomic status, participation in the Artsakh war, and accomplishments in academia, leadership, community, and military service.The AEF Scholarship Program owes its success to the generosity of 150 benefactors, who support 1-30 students each year.
AEF Scholarship recipients are required to volunteer and engage in community service to help those most in need.The Armenian Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1950 to render financial assistance to Armenian educational institutions and students of Armenian parentage.
