The Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) network is undergoing pilot testing in Armenia. Launched by Armenia’s Viva-MTS, this thin-band RF technology is designed for the Internet of Things (IoT) for mobile devices.
In the modern world, the Internet of Things is an integral part of people’s lives, governments, and business entities. IoT is a network that connects devices and equipment connected to the Internet that collect and exchange information according to tasks and specific environments. These devices are equipped with sensors and work based on software. They include Temperature sensors, smart locks, security systems, water meters, air quality sensors, etc. NB-IօT are affordable, help save energy, connect thousands of devices, and provide a better signal.
“The introduction of this innovative network for the Internet of Things in the Armenian market will open new prospects for business activities and will significantly stimulate the further development of several areas,” said Viva-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
