On April 26, the L-410-UVP E20 passenger aircraft of Czech production successfully landed at Syunik Airport in Kapan at 10:58 Yerevan time. It is designed for 19 passengers and is registered in the Republic of Armenia.
The flight was of an experimental nature. The plane took off from Zvartnots International Airport at 10:10. In fact, it is possible to reach Syunik from Yerevan by plane in 48 minutes.
Kapan Airport has been renovated according to international standards and was certified by the Civil Aviation Committee in 2020.
Since the 90s, there have been no flights at Kapan airport, except for one private flight in 2017.
