Transmitting Values, Online

During the 2017 Armenia/Diaspora conference, concerns were raised about TV stations broadcasting commercial programs that were deemed to be unintelligent. The Minister of Education responded by saying that they could not intervene in the choices made by private companies.

In contrast, the government of China transformed the society of 1.5 billion, from a violent and corrupt to a civilized and educated society in just 10 years. One of the key factors was the use of social media to promote essential values such as protecting nature, civic engagement, integrity, and combating societal issues like unhealthy lifestyles, domestic violence, and selective abortion.

Online education has proven to be a cost-effective way to transmit both values and knowledge. Through education, we can also foster a sense of national unity and develop a global vision of Armenia and its diaspora. The keys to success in this endeavor are captivating programs, regularity, continuity, and quality guarantee. With a multitude of programs tailored to different age groups and communities, the task at hand is large and will require pooling resources and competences.

The project involves identifying existing educational video programs and publishers, while also creating our own videos and web channels as needed. We warmly invite those who are passionate about content creation, video shooting, and related skills to join us in this endeavor.
